Demand Planner – Kennesaw, GA
This is a full-time, exempt position.
The key purpose of this role is to develop accurate demand plans and scenarios by improving the statistical forecast baseline, gathering and merging insights from Sales, and facilitating discussions to reach consensus on future demand.
Responsibilities:Maintains any statistical models used for demand planningGenerates statistical forecast, calculates forecast error, bias, and value add and drives action plans to improve forecast accuracyWorks closely with commercial/sales to acquire necessary demand signals and forecastGathers necessary inputs for the demand review meetingsFacilitates demand review meetings and acts as subject matter expert for forecast, demand, and product outlooks for the businessReviews monetized financial impactIdentifies demand risks and makes recommendations on ways to close gapsWorks with supply and production teams to balance supply/demand imbalancesUnderstands production capabilities and capacities as part of overall demand planDrives improvement processes and sustainability across supply chain.Skills Required:2 or more years of experience in demand planning. Experience in a “made to order” environment is a plus.APICS or CSCMP certifications a plusStatistical analysisDemand forecasting techniquesUnderstanding of the end-to-end S&OP and S&OE processAbility to work with large datasetsComfortable with facilitating meetings and driving consensusCritical thinking skillsProblem solving skills Data modelingAbility to effectively communicate complex ideasWork to deadlinesManage conflictDrive completion of action plans through informal influence Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree Required. Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or Engineering preferred.
