Caterpillar Defense is seeking a **Demand & Orders Analyst in Dallas, Texas** . In this role, the Demand and & Order Analyst will support machine, engine, and parts ordering for our CAT Defense customers.
**What you will do:**
+ Entry of new sales orders, identifying the key elements and communicate downstream for required actions.
+ Auditing order change requests from customers, evaluate acceptance of the order change request from a material, production plan, technical and logistics perspective.
+ Serving as primary contact for customer inquiries; providing feedback about lead time, planned timeline, order change, order reschedules, etc.
+ Aligned customers order with Sales production plan to achieve the monthly goal.
+ Primary contact with other departments department to manage sales and customer priorities.
**What you will have:**
**Data Gathering & Analysis** : **Level Extensive Experience:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
+ Advises on advanced data gathering and analysis methodologies and technologies.
+ Oversees data gathering and analysis activities within the organization.
+ Documents sources and validates the accuracy of data analysis by evaluating the pros and cons of data analysis methods used.
+ Implements procedures and policies within a data processing function.
+ Teaches others how to improve the validity and reliability of data used in various analyses.
+ Evaluates best practices of data gathering and analysis within the industry.
+ Order Management experience desired
+ Previous experience with Salesforce, SAP, CMOPS, EOMP &/or Antares ERP platforms desired
**Planning: Tactical, Strategic** : **Level Working Knowledge:** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
+ Contributes to short-term operational plans.
+ Anticipates and adapts to plan changes.
+ Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives.
+ Reports variances and makes agreed-upon corrections.
+ Under guidance, develops tactical plan for own direct responsibility.
**Analytical Thinking** : **Level Extensive Experience:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
+ Seeks discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances.
+ Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation.
+ Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research.
+ Quantifies the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action.
+ Approaches a complex problem by breaking it down into its component parts.
+ Chooses among a diverse set of analytical tools according to the nature of the situation.

Degree or equivalent experience desired

**Summary Pay Range:**
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
