Kitchen Production Clerks have the opportunity to improve the breakfast, lunch, and dinner tables of our guests by providing a wide variety of delicious meal options.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Creates engaging, memorable experiences through recognizing and reacting to guests needsReceives, prepares, and fulfills guest orders and other special deli requestsEnsures high standard quality control by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing all deli products on displayTakes and executes special orders and requests Answers the telephone and assists callers using proper phone etiquette Addresses guest concerns with prep and kitchen made items, and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product receivedEnsures all production standards are being met in the Deli KitchenFills the knee knockers, heat and eat sections, tray and dip wall, and all special ordersEnsures that temperatures are being taken on hot bar and salad barRecipe controlMonitors dates and freshness of every productShrinks the items that are outdatedEnsures that products are dated and initialed in the cooler/freezerContributes to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas including shelves and sales floor as neededRequired to maintain food safety logsEnsures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% at 10 am and 5 pmFulfils Special Orders by following Special Order Tray Building ProceduresProduces Step by Step Dinners by following detailed recipesOther duties as assignedRegular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be food safe certified (an actual food safety certification) Ability to motivate a team of individuals Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environmentComplete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policiesMust posses the ability to apply on-the job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises. Also requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, mixer, grinder, oven, and shamKnowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, and must be able to make timely and effective decisions

WORK SCHEDULE

Kitchen Production Clerk is an hourly position - schedule will vary and may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
