Dealership Warranty Clerk - Westrand
Duties:
Processing of warranty claims: Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation is available for submission to the OEM/factory/distributor. Verify criteria required by OEM/factory or distributor. Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate Systems. Resubmit all rejected claims within 24 hours or receive authorization to write them off (in writing).  Follow up on outstanding claims; no outstanding claims older than 5 days without action and communication plan in place (in writing). Disposal of parts: Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and the date on which the part may be disposed of. Manage the warranty store in accordance to OEM standards. Arrange for parts to be returned to the OEM/factory/distributor where required; alternatively prepare documentation for destruction thereof within the Dealership Agreed timelines.  Compliance and record keeping: File and maintains all service records as required by the OEM/factory/distributor. Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins. Communication, Reporting and Support: Assist with allocated duties to support the After Sales Department as and where necessary. Continued communication with Dealership staff, customers, OEM/factory and/or distributor to resolve queries. Compile and submit weekly report of outstanding Warranty Claims. Compile and submit monthly report of outstanding Warranty Claims. Minimum Qualification
Matric Any relevant Post Matric Qualifications Requirements
10 years’ experience in same or similar role as Warranty Clerk currently Knowledge on analysis and report writing PC Literate Drivers license Professionalism Positive attitude Neat, well-groomed, and presentable Healthy, must be able to handle the physical and mental strains of the job
