Dealer Sales Representative - Specialty Fitness

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the National Sales Manager, the Dealer Sales Representative will be a key member of the Johnson Health Tech Trading (JHTT) Specialty fitness sales team. In this exciting and diverse role, the Dealer Sales Representative provides sales, customer relationship building, and training support in accordance with company policies and procedures. With the breadth of brands within the Johnson portfolio, (Matrix, Vision, Horizon, Bowflex and Schwinn), an incredible opportunity exists for the right person to join this growing division with Johnson Health Tech. This is a non-supervisory position.


Responsibilities:


Sales:

· Maximize sales and achieve goals within assigned accounts

· Build strong business relationships with our customer base at all organizational levels 

· Grow business within our existing dealer base by expanding Johnson’s floor model presence and market share within each dealer

· Prospect for new accounts in underserved regions

· Recognize market trends and report to sales management. 


Training:

· Educate dealer sales personnel about the Company’s product lines and competitive advantages

· Strong emphasis on ensuring that each dealers’ sales staff is highly proficient in demonstrating the key advantages of the Johnson product portfolio

· Ability to train in both large and small groups depending on the needs of each individual dealer


Other:

· Continuously search for ways to improve our company

· Be an ambassador for Johnson Health Tech in every way 

· Report product and quality issues to appropriate staff

· Provide guidance on forecast needs for dealers within assigned region

· Be flexible and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

· Frequent interaction with Specialty team members and supporting staff, such as technical support and quality team

· This position is not a traditional 9-5 role. It will require work beyond normal business hours to accommodate sales training seminars with dealers and events such as trade shows as they arise.


Marginal Job Functions:

· Providing management with floor model placement information for all assigned dealers

· Work on special projects as required by the Sr. Director of Sales and National Sales Manager

· Other projects as needed.

Requirements


Education:

· Bachelor's degree required, degree in relevant field preferred


Experience:

· Minimum of 2 years professional sales experience as a proven producer required

· Outside sales or retail sales experience along with knowledge of the Johnson retail product brands is preferred

· Background in fitness industry preferred

· Demonstrated success in a competitive fitness sales environment preferred


Other Requirements:

· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, preferred

· A driver’s license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for dealer visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.

· Estimated field travel is 50%
