The Opportunity 

Delaware North Gaming is hosting a Dealer Training School for individuals interested in becoming a Table Games Dealer at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Dealer Training School participant, you will gain table game dealer knowledge, develop math and technical skills, and learn how to start an exciting career as a Table Games Dealer.

 

Classes will begin on October 14th and will run for 8 weeks.

Times will be from 6pm - 10pm.* Time subject to change.

 

Pay

$10.00 - $10.00 / hour

Responsibilities 

As a Dealer in Training you will be responsible to learn:

Basic understanding of the gaming industryHow to shuffle and place cardsHow to cut gaming chips, exchange currency for gaming chips, and identify chip denominationsRack maintenanceHand recognitionPayouts and odds for each gameHow to determine game rule winners and losersHow to control the pace of the gameHow to develop proper game security skillsHow to protect the integrity of games through observation and by following appropriate proceduresHow to identify unusual play habitsQualifications Minimum 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to obtain a state gaming licenseAbility to attend off-site training and receive the applicable training certificatesMathematical skills to solve equationsExceptional guest service skillsPhysical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods up to 3 hours and walk long distancesHand and finger dexterityAbility to lift and carry 25 lbs occasionallyAbility to pass a color recognition testShift Details
