Collaborating closely in a diverse and inclusive environment with customers of all sizes, Deal Managers are empowered to design and execute customized deals and licensing models with customers to help them achieve more with Microsoft products and services. Deal Managers work in partnership with Microsoft’s sales teams and business groups to develop strategies for increasing Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics revenue and accelerating customer satisfaction. We are looking for self-motivated people who love building relationships, analyzing business deals, simplifying complex scenarios, and creating deal pricing and terms which represent a mutual win for customers and Microsoft.
This role supports the public sector/federal business at Microsoft. You will be successful in this role if you possess sound business judgment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the capability to build relationships cross-functionally, and demonstrate the flexibility needed to navigate ambiguity in a collaborative environment. It’s critical to know how to prioritize for high impact, proactively seek knowledge, simplify complex scenarios, and be self-motivated and dedicated to assisting others learn and be successful.

**Responsibilities**
+ Make empowered decisions on customer agreements using business judgment and licensing principles.
+ Work with customers to negotiate pricing, licensing terms, and deal conditions necessary to sign agreements.
+ Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, and other business groups to design winning offers and deal constructs.
+ Ensure negotiation strategies for services adhere to established principles and standards and help adapt those principles to the evolving technology marketplace.
+ Share best practices and strategies with internal teams to improve Microsoft’s sales capabilities
**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 2+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of public sector contracting experience
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience
+ OR Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 3+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Contract management experience with United States Federal or State and Local Government preferred.
+ Software/Cloud services industry, consulting, and support experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated decision-making and critical thinking skills in a cross-functional environment.
+ Proficient interpersonal, verbal, oral and written communication ability, adaptable to engagements with all levels of an organization.
+ Proven complex negotiation skills.
+ Thoughtful risk-taking, with a demonstrated growth mindset and curiosity to learn independently.
Commercial Deal Making IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,300 - $146,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,700 - $161,700 per year.
