About the Role:

Matterport is looking for a Deal Desk Analyst who will play a crucial role in driving deal velocity and ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales and internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong project management mindset, the ability to hold cross-functional teams accountable, and a deep understanding of sales processes to streamline complex deal structures.
 

The ideal candidate has experience working closely with Sales teams and internal partners, such as Legal, Revenue Accounting, Customer Support, Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Fulfillment. They should be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable influencing multiple stakeholders to ensure deals move efficiently through the pipeline. Strong communication, analytical skills, and a results-driven approach are key to success in this role.
 

Responsibilities: 

Deal Structuring & Management: Manage and assist with deal structuring, quoting, pricing, special terms, auditing deals, and exception approvals.

Contract Negotiation & Pricing Strategy: Assist with complex contract negotiations, providing pricing options, deal construct alternatives, and business analysis to facilitate deal execution.

Process Automation & Efficiency: Drive and define automation opportunities via Salesforce CPQ in the quote-to-cash cycle to enhance the efficiency of the Deal Desk function.

Policy & Compliance Management: Document, communicate, and enforce pricing, discounting, and deal policies.

Strategic Deal Structuring: Guide Regional Sales Leadership teams on deal structuring to maximize ARR while maintaining alignment with field sales urgency.

Approval & Governance: Review and approve complex quotes and sales orders based on policy and accounting guidance.

Sales Partnership & Pipeline Support: Anticipate Sales teams' business needs through regular participation in pipeline reviews and forecast calls. Act as an escalation point to shepherd deals to closure and drive increased deal velocity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Billing, Engineering, InfoSec, and Legal to review and prepare approval requests for non-standard deal elements and critical processes.
 

Basic Qualifications:

Experienced & Knowledgeable: Minimum of 5 years industry experience with 3+ years in deal desk, finance, contracts, sales operations, or revenue roles, with at least 2 years in Software/SaaS.

Tech-Savvy & Data-Driven: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent industry sales tools), CPQ tools, CRM tools, Looker, and Google Docs, using data to optimize deal processes.

Strategic Communicator: Skilled at engaging Sales teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment and accountability.

Collaborative & Influential: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to hold teams accountable while fostering a positive, solutions-oriented culture.

Analytical & Process-Driven: Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to improving workflows.

Detail-Oriented & Results-Focused: High level of accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in work, consistently exceeding expectations.

Agile & Adaptable: Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, adjusting to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on deal velocity.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
