DCIM/Controls Project Manager II

The Project Manager II – Infrastructure effectively plans, manages, and delivers the internal IT projects on time and within budget. This entails facilitating communication between different team members (e.g. Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, Data Center Technicians, etc), different departments within the organization, along with ensuring adherence to existing company guidelines. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, experienced technical project manager, who possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, and is able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional matrixed environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Works with systems and network engineering teams to complete technical discoveryApplies project management expertise to ensure accurate and timely delivery of servicesCollaborates with team managers and resources to identify project approach, deliverables, tasks and resources required to complete a project, specifically as it pertains to technical tasks and deliverablesDevelops and actively manage project plans, identifying applicable phases, tasks, resources, deliverables and due dates using traditional project management practicesReviews proposed changes to project plans, including meeting with stakeholders to approve and implement beneficial changesManages multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment and completes projects on timeContinuously monitors and reports on project status to Upper Management (including C-Levels), including issues, risks, and escalationsContinually develops and improves internal processes and documentation within the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management or other related field or equivalent professional experience3-5 years of IT, Project Management, service delivery or customer relationship management experienceProficient with Microsoft Office suiteExperience building detailed technical project plans and task dependencies based on technical familiarity and stakeholder interviewsExperience managing complex, strategic programs with multiple sub-projects/workstreamsAdvanced knowledge of data center/critical environment concepts, such as space, power, cooling and connectivityAdvanced knowledge of technologies found within data center architecture, such as routers, switches, firewalls, server components, storage, and virtualization.US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Five or more years of progressive project management experience or team lead experience in an IT infrastructure environmentPMP or Agile certificationITIL CertificationExperience with Salesforce CRMExperience with Project Management applications such as MS Project or ClarityPrior experience working in a Data Center environmentExperience in project managing customer migrations

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with Senior ManagementStrong facilitation skillsSelf-motivated, goal-oriented individual with extensive experience multi-tasking across multiple concurrent and complex projectsStrong communication, organization, and management skillsStrong time management and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
