The Supply Chain DC Planner will work alongside the Category Supply Manager and Supply Chain TC Planner to deliver category stock plans, implement product life cycle and promotional strategies with the objective of fulfilling our “100% available from stock” promise. The role is also responsible for optimising our DC replenishment systems, raising all orders and managing supplier relationships and performance.

Responsibilities Responsible for placing orders into the distribution network ensuring we have the right level of stock in the right place at the right timeDefine and manage the system parameters and forecasts by reviewing current sales rates, and adjusting our stock profile and ordering patterns accordinglyInfluence stock levels for new products and continually review these making changes where appropriateChase bookings at DC and vendors for outstanding ordersEffective management of system alertsImplement event and promotional plans provided by the Category Supply Manager within the system, to ensure orders are raised appropriatelyManage the master data for products with STEPPrioritise stock requirements according to business needsOptimise stock and distribution centre availability alongside costs – ensuring that our day to day operational capacity is not exceededManage the exit of deleted skus and ranges in line with the Category Supply ManagerManage key internal relationships with buying, marketing, and operations.Form effective relationships with suppliers, monitor supplier performance ensuring compliance and react effectively and decisively with non-conformance Qualifications Dealing with key stakeholders – whether customers, suppliers or staff from other departmentsExperience in a role which required working on multiple tasks, to tight deadlines whilst being comfortable working in a fast paced and high-pressured environmentPrior supply chain, inventory, logistics or commercial experience preferably within a retail environmentProven skills in data analysis – able to understand and interpret financial, sales and other commercial informationExperienced in problem solving – able to anticipate and highlight issues, and take decisive corrective action, working within established proceduresRange of communication skills – able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences both orally and in writingExcel skills (pivot tables/v look ups) and numerically competentManaging line level sales and demand forecasts in a Retail environment
