Available Position:
Location: Urbandale, IAFull-time; 40 hours per weekMonday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pmWage: Based on experienceAs a Day Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of program coordinators and direct support professionals, as well as collaborating with other departments to ensure the overall success of the program. You will ensure that all program activities are implemented effectively, according to individualized participant plans, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will support the ongoing development and growth of our participants by facilitating engagement in meaningful activities, promoting independence, and fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day Services Supervisors address the wants and needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which include:
Supervise and provide guidance to program coordinators and direct support professionalsDevelop and implement individualized participant plans, taking into consideration their goals, preferences, and abilitiesEnsure the program activities are engaging, diverse, and provide opportunities for skill-building and personal growth· Collaborate with other team members to design and implement individualized care plans
Monitor participant progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supportsMaintain accurate documentation and records, including participant files, incident reports, and statistical dataAdminister medications and maintain accurate medication recordsFamiliarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as Medicaid Waiver programsEnsure all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choiceComplete and maintain required documentation and trainingsWe provide excellent benefits to eligible employees:

Two (2) years’ experience in a related area, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities or an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s) with a major or minor of study from an accredited college or universityOne (1) year in supervisory or management capacity.Must be at least 19 years of ageCompletion of High School Diploma or GEDPossess a valid driver's license and current auto insurancePass all background checks: criminal, DMV, dependent adult and child abuse registryOn the job training: in-person and on-lineCompassionate and patient demeanorStrong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team· Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
