UST is recruiting for Databricks Native Platform Architect a to join our team in East Midlands, who has a proven track record of leading cloud-native platform engineering teams and delivering high-quality, scalable cloud solutions on Azure

Location:                             East Midlands

Type:                                   Fixed Term/ Full time employment/ Contract inside IR35

Duration                              3-6 months with possible extensions

 Hybrid Working model:   3 days’ work from client office

An ideal candidate must have:

·       10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or related technical roles.

·        At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Databricks and cloud data platforms.

·        Extensive experience with Databricks and the Apache Spark ecosystem.

·       Strong background in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.

·       Expertise in designing and implementing data lakes, data pipelines, and ETL processes.

·        Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL for data engineering and data science tasks.

·       Experience with Delta Lake, MLflow, and Databricks notebooks.

·        In-depth knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards in cloud environments.

·        Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks for data applications.

·        Certifications in Databricks, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
