A financial firm is looking for a Database Engineer to join their team. This role is remote.

Pay: $95-100/hr 

L2 Screening required

-Looking for a Database Engineer with IaC, AWS, and Oracle (on-prem)
-Able to develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and Gitlab
-Python as coding (including pyspark)
-Able to hit the ground running - project is critical and time sensitive - minimal time for training

Responsibilities:
• Assist in migrating on-prem database(oracle and SQL ) to AWS
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and Gitlab
• Assist in upgrading Oracle database
• Assist in diagnosing and remediating problems including performance issues in Databases – Oracle
• Monitor and tune of database environments to ensure optimum performance and maximization of available resources.
• Coding– python (including pyspark)
• Assist in tuning complex business analytical queries
• Collaborate with the application developers, architects and project team on physical database design and implementations
• Provide assistance with the investigations and resolution of complex infrastructure technical issues.
• Prepare high quality documentation of design/architecture/database infrastructure documents.
• Assist in ad hoc projects, assignments and responsibilities as necessary

Qualifications: 
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or at least 7 years relevant work experience as Database Engineer with focus in IaC , AWS and Oracle ( on-prem)
• Solid understanding and experience IaC using Terraform and Gitlab
• Solid understanding and experience Oracle performance Tuning
• Good understanding and experience in AWS data stores such as DocumentDB , Postgress , Mysql ( Arora)
• Good Understanding of Oracle Goldengate
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
• Effective verbal and written skills, including good presentation skills
