Job Description:

   

The Database Administrator will provide technical expertise for data base administration, tuning and ensure all supported data base systems maintain smooth operations through high-availability and performance standards.

The Database Administrator will be working independently or in teams and have the ability to effectively gain insight and develop solutions to meet customer’s business needs.

Responsibilities:

Deliver strategic account support by proactively monitoring, operating and administrating customer data bases and IT Environment to ensure proper operation and availabilityBe responsible for the performance and integrity of the respective database in scope.Supervise all customer solutions in scopeProvide leadership in technical incident and problem management and in their resolution, working closely with end customers and HPE remote and field support staffDevelop action plans to investigate and resolve complex issues/problems and clearly communicate these to engineers, customers and/or relevant managersAct as a consultant in the service deliveryBe an active member of the customer account teamSupport service transitioning, customer service tooling and designIdentify and contribute to projects to improve product support, customer satisfaction and team efficiencyContribute to the improvement of team performanceCommunicate effectively with Technical and Non-Technical stakeholdersParticipate/Drive ITIL based change management, problem management, incident managementSupport to develop and grow assigned customer account relationships

About you:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degreeFluent in written and verbal English5+ years of implementation and operational experience with one of the following: DB2, Oracle, SQL server, MaxDB, Sybase, PostgreSQLTechnically proficient in Operating Systems (Unix/Windows/Linux)
