About your next Challenge as a Data Systems Engineer at L3Harris MAS you will:

Work in the Systems/Specialties group for the military CF-18 and CT-114 Programs. The candidate will assist the OLM technical lead and ISMP technical lead in development and maintenance of the architecture, associated tools and the assessment of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CF-18 and CT-114 OLM and ISMP data as part of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and In-service Monitoring Program (ISMP). The candidate will participate in some of the activities necessary to assure continuing airworthiness of CF-18 and CT-114 fleet mechanical systems as delegated by Canadian Department of National Defense (DND).

Essential Functions:

Ability to develop architecture for data management and analysis.Demonstrate knowledge of on premise or cloud relational SQL and NoSQL and ability to use programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write software code;Applying data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques best practices to connect large data sets from a variety of sources and developing logical and physical data models;Assist the technical leader in assessing data validity and running reports;Ensure data security and chain of custody;Actively work to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets quality requirements;Ability to lead a small team of data professionals.

Qualifications: 

Requires proficient knowledge of Data Engineering for OLM and In-service Monitoring;Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of Data Engineering experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of Data Engineering related experience;Ability to use Cameo Systems Modeler;Ability utilize SQL; andAbility to program Visual Basic and python (or R) scripts; andAbility to Generate Power BI Dashboards

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with the use of software such as: MS Office (Power Query);Demonstrated Leadership skills; andStrong Communication skills

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
