The Data Strategies Analyst is critical to advancing business intelligence by shaping and executing the data strategies of Personal Risk Services (PRS). This role is a member of the team responsible for the direction, design, and accuracy of the data supporting the PRS division. The analyst works closely with IT in collaboration with key business areas such as Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Data Science to oversee the data development lifecycle from design through implementation, profiling, validation, and user acceptance. The scope of data includes on-prem and cloud-based data stores and master data management (MDM) applications comprised of internal and third-party data sources. The role is responsible for the discovery and resolution of data inconsistencies as well as conducting audits and data profiling to measure data quality and rule performance.

Administration
Project Implementation, Validation, and Execution
Identify, collect, analyze, summarize, and effectively communicate complex data reporting needs and proposed solutions to business and IT management Build expertise on the use and interpretation of relevant PRS, third party and corporate data sources while maintaining data mapping and lineage across Chubb’s data systems Draft and prioritize business requirements developed in consultation with stakeholders on the inclusion of new products and data sources into the PRS data environmentData Governance
Assist in ownership of data management, prioritization, and development of PRS data strategies and forward-thinking solutions that enable advanced pricing, modeling and analytical capabilities Design, build and monitor audit processes and error log reports to ensure PRS CBD data quality and integrity; Proactively generate tickets in JIRA to manage and resolve data quality defects Collaborate with peers on cross-divisional and global initiatives promoting advanced data capabilities and best practicesCompetencies:
Mastery of SQL required; Proficiency with other querying languages and business intelligence tools preferred (i.e., Python, R, Qlik, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI)Strong understanding of insurance business operations, coverages, and insurance metricsHighly effective communication skills both verbal and written with accompanying ability to present complex concepts to a non-technical audienceData-driven decision maker; Ability to quickly determine data accuracy, reasonableness of results, identify and resolve errors, and present findingsAbility to maintain progress on multiple tasks, prioritize appropriately, and support larger projects with multiple contributors and stakeholdersExperience working using SAFE Agile processEducation and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience in math, computer science, or data managementMinimum of 3 years of business intelligence / data management experienceExperience with master data management and concepts of reference data elements, processes, and organizational support models
