We are today a team of approximate 45+ people and have five ventures. Our office space is very central at Drottninggatan in Stockholm.

 

Job description

Venture Data Scientist you will be a key player in new business ventures, responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex data sets to drive strategic decision-making and innovation. By leveraging advanced analytical techniques and machine learning algorithms you will help solve business problems and identify growth opportunities.

 

You will work in one of our ventures and report to our Tech Domain Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Venture Data Scientist for a venture your main key task will be:

 

Data Analysis: Analysing large and diverse data sets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform business strategies and decisions. Model Development: Building, testing, and deploying predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address specific business challenges. Data Collection: Designing and implementing data collection processes to ensure the availability of high-quality data for analysis. Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals, to translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Reporting and Visualisation: Creating clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Staying current with the latest data science techniques, tools, and industry trends to continuously enhance skills and drive innovation. Data Strategy: Contributing to the development and execution of the venture’s data strategy, including data governance and best practices.

 

  About you

We seek someone with strong experience within engineering and data who can work with the full process within user experience. You will start to work for one venture but will have a context with other collogues connected to your domain. It is crucial that you are a positive influence and a good collaborator as you will interact with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders. Good communication skills are key since you will be interacting closely with business executives both across the company and externally. You are a goal-oriented doer and a team player that loves to see how our business is growing.

We also believe that you (requirements): Bring 5+ years of experience in a data science or analytics position within an industry or research setting. Have expertise in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, experimentation, and regression analysis using statistical software packages in Python, Matlab, R, or equivalent. Possess strong skills in causal inference and quasi-experimentation. Proficiency in writing structured and efficient SQL queries for large data sets. Have a relentless pursuit of new ideas and data sources, and the ability to systematically tackle ambiguous problems with a data-driven, hypothesis-based approach. Be analytical, curious, and a self-starter who is motivated to achieve results and collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside of the team. Hold a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Are fluent in English
