Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will provide data management support in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of State.

What you will do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop, document, implement, provide consultation on the application of, and ensure compliance with, requirements for use of client tools, processes and standards.

Provide training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs.

Collect, analyze and validate engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs. Works under general direction.

Conduct data analysis using various technologies (i.e., Python)

Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions using data visualization software (i.e., Tableau, Power BI)

Maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform engagement services

Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are met

Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items

Summarize and present information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).


What You Will Need::

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Secret Federal or DoD security clearance

Bachelor's Degree

FIVE (5) or more years of professional experience INCLUDING THREE (3) years in data analytics

Must be willing to go on client site 2-3 days a week


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science or related field

3+ years of professional related experience in data engineering, with a focus on processing large datasets

Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data management principles

5+ years of experience in Data Management.

2+ years of experience with US Federal Agency data

Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.

Experience working in a cross-functional team.

Experience working with senior and executive leadershi

Thorough business understanding of data management applications and ability to communicate with key decision-makers

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
