Data Science Intern - IC Design

We are seeking a Computer Science Engineering or Data Science student for the Summer term to support an IC Design Validation team through aggregation, analysis & reporting of measurement data.

 

The Skyworks AIS Audio Solutions business unit develops wireless audio system with industry leading integration and unmatched wireless system resilience yielding truly high-fidelity audio at a low total system cost. IC design teams at AIS are world class where the focus is on providing the best possible product while promoting a culture of integrity both to the design and each other.

Responsibilities

Primary function involves assisting Design Engineers in the development of complex ASIC’s by helping to develop a data management, analysis & reporting system using commercially available data processing software. The data sets are small in sample size with emphasis on deep analysis, this is not a statistical analysis role, rather relative performance over edge of process, voltage & temperature.

Streamline Measurement Data Post-Processing Standardize Analysis and Reporting Procedure Recommend Best Practice for Measurement Data Formatting Analyze Measurement Data & Communicate Findings Develop Learning Models & Algorithms to Expand Analysis Qualification & Education Requirements Seeking BS in Data Science / Technology Based Understanding of Basic Electronics Theory Desired Experience and Skills Previous experience with NI DIAdem, JMP or other data analysis software

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
