Data Reporting Analyst
Description We are seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to join our team based in GALVESTON, Texas. This role is instrumental in the government sector, focusing on processing and managing data, creating reports, and providing software solutions. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Provide guidance to staff on information technology software support, including database analysis, reporting, and programming. • Create and administer SQL server databases. • Design and develop custom database procedures, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries. • Develop and schedule complex custom reports using various reporting tools. • Lead initiatives for application integrations and API development. • Provide software solutions in the form of reports and applications. • Assist in the rollout of new products by reviewing and modifying existing reports or creating new ones. • Design, test, and implement various systems and software customizations based on staff needs. • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions. • Provide high-level application support, focusing on research, remediation, and documentation of complex application and technical support issues. • Administer and explain the organization's information technology policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. • Research and gather information on new technologies. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics. • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a government setting. • Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft SQL. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to interpret data and provide insights to stakeholders. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in data visualization tools and data modeling. • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and principles. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Must be legally authorized to work in the specified country.
