Data Process Analyst
KBR
Title:
Data Process Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Data Process Analyst (active/current Secret Clearance) to support KBR’s Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM) operations in support of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This role is critical to ensuring the efficient management, analysis, and integration of complex data systems in the aviation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, experience in managing large datasets, and a strong understanding of customer/system requirements.
The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate data ingestion and integration into the Siemens Teamcenter PLM system, ensuring that data flows smoothly through the system while maintaining accuracy and integrity. This requires the development and implementation of data preparation tools, analysis of data trends, and root cause identification of system inefficiencies. The Data Process Analyst will also play a crucial role in leveraging advanced data techniques such as data mining, modeling, and machine learning to provide actionable insights and optimize workflows.
In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to understand system requirements, design data processes, and ensure seamless data importation and management within multiple tools such as Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Teamcenter Reporting and Analysis (TcRA). You will be expected to provide solutions for data-related challenges, while constantly improving data integrity and usability in the product lifecycle management environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develop, use, and implement tools and techniques for data preparation, cleaning, and ingestion. Utilize programming languages such as VBA, Regex, SQL, Python, Java, and R to build efficient, scalable solutions that move data into and out of the Siemens Teamcenter PLM system and other related systems. Ensure that data ingestion is accurate and optimized to meet system and project needs.
+ Analyze data ingestion trends, detect patterns, and create actionable insights through business intelligence tools like Teamcenter Reporting and Analysis (TcRA). Use your analytical skills to track data flows, identify areas for improvement, and help optimize system performance.
+ Ensure smooth data management through an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and lifecycle management tools. Work with teams to maintain data integrity during the importation, exportation, and transition processes. Continuously optimize workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
+ Utilize data mining, data modeling, machine learning, and natural language processing to analyze large, structured and unstructured datasets. Develop algorithms and models to extract meaningful patterns and insights from big data, supporting informed decision-making and process optimization.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data-related issues that arise within the product lifecycle. Employ a structured approach to determine the root causes of inefficiencies or data discrepancies, and propose solutions that enhance system performance and data accuracy.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, systems, and customer stakeholders, to understand their data needs and integrate systems effectively. Communicate technical concepts and data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders to drive project success. Continuously evaluate and improve existing data processes and systems to ensure they meet business and technical requirements. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to implement best practices and drive innovation within the team.

Technical Skills/Expertise:
+ Strong proficiency in querying databases and working with large datasets.
+ Proven experience in developing and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze data for trends and patterns, and develop actionable insights.
+ Experience solving complex problems within a product development or lifecycle management environment.
+ Expertise in developing, testing, and deploying regular expressions for data validation and manipulation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Active Workspace.
+ Familiarity with PMA file structures, file types, and their relationships in aviation product lifecycle management systems.
+ Proven experience in designing algorithms and models for big data mining.
+ Ability to perform data error analysis to improve models and enhance workflows.
+ Expertise in data visualization tools, such as TcRA, for effective communication of data insights.
+ Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a focus on its application in data management and system integration.
+ Prior experience supporting the Department of the Navy.
