As a Data Platform Engineer within our Data & AI team, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain robust cloud data infrastructure and architecture to support teams across NCR Voyix producing and consuming data to build Data Products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, integrity, and efficiency of our data platforms for informed decision-making. The role requires a deep understanding of data systems, ETL processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.

As a member of the Platform & Architecture group, you will:

Help manage and maintain the organization’s data platform stack in Azure and GCP to ensure its stability, reliability, and scalability.Work closely with Data Product teams (Corporate and Go To Market) to identify their technology needs and provide the right solutions that align with product requirements and overall strategy.Contribute to best practices for governance and maintain high standards of quality and integrity across the platform. Continuously monitor and optimize processes to ensure high performance and scalability, accommodating growing data volumes and user demands.

What You Will Bring

High proficiency in best practice use and operation of Databricks and DBT & designing reusable solutions with engineering teamsHigh proficiency in using and maintaining Azure and GCP services as infrastructure as code that are re-usable and extensibleStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Platform mindset to identify opportunities to build out the data foundation for use across the businessPractice of keeping up with developments in cloud & data stack and identifying and communicating opportunitiesHigh proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. Strong proficiency in CI/CD DevOps approach to implement data solutions (hands on experience with Terraform, Github Actions, Azure DevOps)Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Azure and GCP. Experience with cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms (e.g.Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery)Good understanding of integration platforms (streaming and batch) like Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Qlik, Kafka, EventHub etcProblem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in platform engineeringAble to work well under pressure and at speed, focused on delivering business value. Experience with Jira and an agile working environment.
