Data Management Senior Manager

About this role: 

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Senior Manager to join the Reporting Testing Innovation & Monitoring team in Home Lending Business Intelligence and Analytics to drive both the design, development and implementation of the Enterprise Data Quality strategy as well as oversight of current state data environment, including but not limited to the management of data defects, business insights to drive process efficiencies and development of Home Lending reporting & control use cases to inform a well-designed target state environment. This role will report to the Data Management & Governance Director and will require an individual with experience managing teams responsible for executing data or control testing engagements, responding to regulatory exams and requests, or producing and supporting critical regulatory reports, as needed. Testing engagements will include both scheduled regular annual reviews and special engagements to support enterprise or regulatory remediation efforts. 

 

In this role, you will: 

Develop and maintain a roadmap for line of business data quality target state 

Define measurement standards for owned areas of responsibility to evidence strong process adherence, quality and effective control environment 

Interpret and develop policies and procedures ensuring adherence to a data governance framework 

Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements, and interpretation as well as provide strategic consultation based on unique, complex HL use cases 

Provide leadership and guidance in the continuing development of the objectives, processes, resources, and long-term goals of the Enterprise Data Management strategy and its implementation in Home Lending 

Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements 

Serve as a point of contact for business, data, and reporting executives during BAU and ad-hoc testing engagements, providing regular and clear communication on the progress of key efforts, and identifying and escalating risks in a timely manner 

Participate in the ongoing development of a high-functioning team of talented professionals dedicated to the goal of being the best data management organization in the industry 

Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal audit, risk, and compliance partners to ensure the proper level of transparency and awareness of key initiatives 

Drive a culture of continuous improvement to maximize the effectiveness (what we do) and efficiency (how we do it) of our internal processes, while ensuring adherence to Data Management policy.  

Required Qualifications:  

6+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 

3+ years of Management experience 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

Experience conducting root cause analysis for data-driven process-related improvements 

4+ years of data management experience 

4+ years of experience presenting information to senior leaders 

3+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners 

2 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders 

Ability to respond to ad-hoc data requests from key stakeholders 

Ability to identify data root cause issues with the ability to define well-designed solutions 

Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment 

Experience with providing detailed, thorough, and accurate documentation procedures and repeatability standards 

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy 

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment 

Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment 

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important 

Review/analyze trends, identify new methodology/data sources and recommending strategy changes or process enhancements 

Translate business language to technical requirements, location of data, archives, etc. 

Determine the required capabilities, tools and data, and leveraging multiple information sources 

 

Job Expectations:

This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo’s compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents. 

This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Preferred Locations listed below. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $250,000.00
