This role will oversee the management and protection of data assets, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in data cataloging and data governance controls, particularly within an Azure environment.

The Role

Data Cataloging: Catalog data assets from the data warehouse and data lake using Microsoft Purview and Atlan Data Catalog to ensure data is organized and easily accessible. Governance Controls Development: Develop and implement governance controls including creating a hierarchy of access roles and user profiles to ensure data security and compliance. Tagging and Compliance: Develop a tagging process in the Microsoft Purview data catalog. Standards and Policies: Establish and enforce data governance standards and policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Data Quality Initiatives: Utilize Python, SQL, PowerBI, and Databricks to lead data quality projects, focusing on routines for monitoring data completeness and timeliness.

The Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience in developing governance controls and managing data environments in Azure.Strong expertise in data cataloging tools such as Microsoft Purview.Proficient in Python, SQL, PowerBI, and Databricks for data quality and analysis projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
