Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Data Governance Architect is a strategic role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data architecture of an organization to support data governance goals.  Data Governance body responsibilities will include coordinating with people, processes and technologies needed to handle and protect data assets to guarantee generally understandable, complete and discoverable data. Data architects translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams. They ensure data is organized and structured in a way that promotes data quality, security, and accessibility, which are crucial aspects of data governance.

Design and implement data architecture, data policies.Define and maintain Data lineage and Data Catalog.Maintain data models and documentation.Ensure data security and compliance.Select and implement data tools and technologies.Collaborate on data strategy with data stewards, information architects and IT leaders.Identify and address data issues.Lead or contribute to data-related projects and initiatives.Stay up to date with emerging trends in data governance.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems, and at least six (6) years of experience in analytics space including at least three (3) years of experience in data management fieldExperience with Collibra or similar DG tools is required.Experience in Data analytics platforms such as Snowflake, PowerBI is a plus.
