About the role
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Governance Tech Lead to join our firm. This role is crucial in driving our data governance initiatives and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance our data management practices.
As the Data Governance Tech Lead, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures across our organization. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, security, and compliance while supporting our firm’s commercial goals through the effective use of data and technology.
What you’ll do
+ Lead the implementation of data governance strategies, policies, and procedures
+ Collaborate with senior managers to align data governance initiatives with the company’s strategic goals
+ Implement data classification, tagging, and access control mechanisms to protect sensitive information
+ Creating reports and dashboards to monitor quality metrics and trends.
+ Designing and executing data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks.
+ Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all systems
+ Design and implement data quality management processes, including data profiling and cleansing strategies
+ Oversee data use case review and management
+ Collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements and resolve issues.
+ Manage data risk through an oversight and escalation framework
+ Ensure adherence to firmwide Data Risk Management policies and regulatory requirements
+ Participate in governance forums and lead meetings to address requirements
+ Provide recommendations for enhancements to the overall Data Governance structure
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data engineering roles
+ At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management position
+ Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and industry standards
+ Proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, and metadata management
+ Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and automation solutions
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
+ Technical Skills
+ Hands-on expertise in data governance tools and frameworks
+ Experience with data integration tools and efficient data handling
+ Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to AI and data use (e.g., GDPR)
+ Certification in Data Technology, Agile, or other relevant project management applications
