Responsibilities The Opportunity The Data Engineer will operate within a team of database developers, data analysts, data engineers, and software engineers to produce simpler, faster, and more insightful solutions for supply chain performance managers, decision makers, specialists and frontline personnel. Data Engineer’s primary responsibilities include: Apply your ETL and data transformation skills to help the team create, maintain, monitor, and/or improve business owned dashboards, ETL processes, reports, tools, and custom web applications. Develop ETL pipelines using python and Databricks to enable scalable, accurate, and resilient data processes and end-user tools. Partner with supply chain solutions team members to solve supply chain challenges by using analytic and data capabilities. Partner with Business Teams and Database Developers to collaborate and align on process and data architecture to achieve performant, reliable solutions. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in existing ETL pipelines and tools. Support team with various ad-hoc requests including data analysis, tool troubleshooting, and end-user support. Your Impact As Data Engineer your responsibilities would consist of: Develop ETL Pipelines, database tables, views, indexes to transform, prepare, and stage data for user facing tools, dashboards, and reports. Perform data validation to ensure data pipelines meet specications for the business applications. Work closely with other team members (business analysts, data engineers, Tableau and PowerBI developers) to collaborate, design, plan work, and develop complete business solutions. Develop resilient data processes which include failure email notification and detailed logging. Proactively monitor deployed ETL pipelines and resolve issues when failures or issues arise. Support team with ad-hoc analytics, tool troubleshooting, and support end-users directly to resolve tool issues. Qualifications ¿Who Are We Looking For? Key sills and experience required: Fluent in English Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business systems or information technology 1+ years of data engineering and ETL experience Advanced SQL skills Moderate Python programming skills Experience in using common ETL patterns to process data. Understands best practices and pitfalls of various ETL methods. Ability to translate business requirements or ideas into data architecture and data process design. Experience in designing and creating database tables, indexes, and views to utilize in ETL processes. Familiarity with supply chain or logistics analytics is a plus Familiarity with Azure Databricks, PySpark, or Azure Data Factory is a plus Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI is a plus Familiarity with web development and other programming language(s) is a plus Competencies required: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into IT requirements.
