Description We are offering an opportunity to work as a Data Engineer in the technology industry, located in Johnson City, Texas. The role involves designing and implementing ETL solutions, optimizing Snowflake databases, and developing data pipelines. This position is a part of an agile team and works closely with Portfolio Managers and other engineering teams. Responsibilities: • Design and develop ETL solutions for transferring data between various data sources and Snowflake • Optimize the performance of Snowflake databases, design and implement data structures, and use indexes appropriately • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models, fostering data-driven decision making across the organization • Maintain and manage data in the Snowflake environment • Develop and maintain automated and scalable data pipelines in Snowflake • Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues • Develop new integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it • Work closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and architects • Maintain the security of confidential information and stay abreast of advances in technology Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer. • Proficient in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark. • Must have experience with Cloud Technologies such as AWS Technologies and Microsoft Azure. • Skilled in Data Visualization and Algorithm Implementation. • Strong understanding of Analytics and Apache Hadoop. • Experience with API Development is essential. • Must have knowledge and experience in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes. • Proficiency in Snowflake is a plus. • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
