Description We are seeking a Data Engineer based in Memphis, Tennessee, 38103, United States. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the tech industry. As a Data Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks like conducting market research, defining product vision, and collaborating with designers and developers. You will also analyze data to enhance product performance and stay updated on industry trends.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive market research and user analysis to understand customer needs and issues.
• Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog, giving priority to features based on business goals and user impact.
• Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team's efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with designers and developers to ensure the product aligns with user needs and technical feasibility.
• Manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the latest market trends and customer feedback.
• Track product performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
• Efficiently communicate the product vision and roadmap to all stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in product management.
• Implement and manage Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Cloud Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Algorithm Implementation, Analytics, Apache Hadoop, API Development, AWS Technologies. Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Kafka and Apache Spark for processing real-time data streams
• Experience working with cloud technologies, specifically AWS Technologies
• Strong understanding and experience of Database management and design
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems and their applications in data analysis
• Proven track record in Algorithm Implementation and optimization
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Apache Hadoop framework for distributed storage and processing of large data sets
• Experience in API Development for integration of systems and automation of tasks
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
