Data Documentation Specialist
Position Summary

Work you’ll do

Will consult with engineering and technical staff to develop technical and end user documentation for software and hardware technologies. Additionally, they develop and promote the adoption of documentation templates for IT system, project and program information. This role will function as a primary writer -- responsible for deliverables of substantial scope and complexity. Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing functionality. Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users. Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet project release dates and client deliverables. Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, user guides, installation guides, etc.), ensuring a consistent "look and feel." Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals. Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts.

The GPS AI & Data Operations offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required2+ years of experience developing and promoting the adoption of documentation templates for IT system, project and program information.2+ years of experience consulting with engineering and technical staff to develop technical and end user documentation for software and hardware technologies2+ years of experience preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.2+ years of experience researching, developing and documenting technical design specifications and test scripts2+ years of experience gathering and analyzing technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing functionality.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureMust be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearanceFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York state, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York state, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,600 to $141,000.  
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
