As a Data Center Technician you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRack and stack servers in a data center environment\r\n\tRun, connect and dress Ethernet cable bundles for newly deployed systems\r\n\tReplace failed fans, motherboards, CPUs, hard drives, DIMMs, cache batteries and related server hardware\r\n\tUpgrade system firmware and software as needed\r\n\tWork closely with application teams for daily support issues, break/fix issues and scheduled maintenance\r\n\tConfiguration of OS and Network in Unix/Linux environment\r\n\tTroubleshoot Cat6 Ethernet and Fiber Optic connections\r\n\tUtilize hand tools to assemble cabinets and install related hardware\r\n\r\n\r\n

Data Center Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t1 year+ experience working with Ethernet or fiber cables\r\n\t1 year+ experience working with structured cabling, terminating, or dressing Ethernet cables\r\n\t1 year+ experience troubleshooting computer hardware like HDDs, DIMMs, CPUs and physical network connections\r\n\t1 year+ experience working with rack mounted network switches/routers and servers\r\n\tBasic-level experience working with Linux or Unix command line\r\n\tAbility to perform repetitive tasks, stand throughout an 8-hour shift, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as needed\r\n\r\n\r\n

Experience with the following is a plus:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrevious work in a Data Center environment with 1000+ servers\r\n\tKnowledge of Cat6 and/or fiber networking standards\r\n\tMulti-meter and oscilloscope\r\n\tNetworking or computer certifications\r\n\tHardware installation\r\n\r\n\r\n
