The Data Center Technical Support Engineering Operations Engineer is responsible for the management of all aspects of the performance of data center infrastructure within a specific location. The role requires a result-driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to operational problems. He or she will be responsible for the technical support of data center engineering operations at Langfang city, managing a team of engineers responsible for supporting availability of mechanical and electrical operations, including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of essential infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.
Key job responsibilities
- Hiring, managing, and developing the technical support operations management team.
- Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency.
- Planning and executing data center expansions of Amazon Web Services, including design review, facility equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and related punch list close.
- Supporting on the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for colocation data centers.
- Vendor management of colocation data center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA’s.
- Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.
- Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
