Data Center Project Manager

Job Description:

Project managers are part of our team to design resilient, cost-effective data centers. Our team is responsible for achieving a world class uptime for our customers and drive to develop a fleet of buildings that emphasize security, safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, while finding new ways to meet AWS’s growing demand. 

As a data center PM, you will be responsible for managing aspects of project document development. This includes experience in data center design planning, design development and documentation and coordinating with all project team members. You will maintain the quality of the work product within the established project schedule for large complex data center projects.  Additionally, you will work closely with the cross-functional design disciplines in coordination with our MEP design engineering team and construction project managers.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: 

Maintain project documentation during design and at the completion of construction. 

Develop of Basis of Design documents that translate business needs into technical requirements Have extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.

Lead the project team in the adherence to all practice standards.

Supervise the design and technical development of the project.

Work directly with Project Managers and Designers in the conceptual development of project documents.

Responsible for quality assurance checks on construction drawings and specifications.

Coordinate responses to submittals and RFIs as needed.

Support our external design consultants through the design and construction process.

Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Five or more years of experience as a Project Manager working on data center projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Design preferred.

Possess a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings.

Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC, IFC, NFPA.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.

Finds innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.

Proficient in the use of REVIT, 3D/BIM modeling and CAD computer modeling and rendering software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam.

Ability to support work for/in other offices which may include over-night travel throughout the US.

Base Pay Range:

Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be ($130k-$170k). However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
