Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in a heavy industrial environment, within the Data Center space or Automotive production. + Experience with industry standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC, NESC). + Experience with Lean Manufacturing/5S/8D practices. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field. + 5 years of experience overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts. + Experience in Data Center cooling, Electrical and Serverhall. + Ability to proactively influence the product design process by proposing improvements with associated data. + Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Provide comprehensive manufacturing engineering support to Google's global manufacturing partners during development and production builds. + Identify and evaluate agreement manufacturers/vendors to fabricate data center related products and architecture. + Conduct manufacturing and process audits and qualify agreement manufacturers/vendors. + Resolve manufacturing and field tests by applying skills, Design For Excellence (DFx), escalating design, manufacturing, and product test issues to others within the organization when appropriate. Identify, initiate, and drive process improvements that reduce process cycle times and cost, while maintaining exceptional quality. + Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to create and maintain Bills of Materials (BoM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and Engineering Change Notifications/Orders (ECN/O) in support of Google Products.
