Position Summary:  The Director of Data Center Management at Perforce is searching for a Data Center Engineer to join their team. The Data Center Engineer at Perforce will be responsible to deploy and maintain hardware associated with hosted cloud-based production environments providing mobile & web testing services to our customers.  The Data Center Engineer will perform the physical setup, as well as operating system imaging and follow-on configurations necessary to support internal and external facing clouds, customers and teams.  In the conduct of this role you will work closely with our R&D, and Customer Support groups to support product changes and maintain the high availability of the production services. 
In addition to deployments, Data Center Engineers are responsible for project-based work as it relates to production services such as; the roll out of new components, upgrades and consolidations.  They not only provide hands-on work at our primary location but also direct and guide remote hands partners to conduct similar activities in other global data center locations.  Data Center Engineers maintain professional data center environments at all locations by taking part in the creation and enforcement of policy standards.  Identifying and resolving gaps in process, documenting them, and finding ways to add efficiencies is an ongoing and important part of the position as we strive to continually improve our capabilities.
 This individual will have the opportunity to contribute on broader team projects and learn from senior team members and technical leaders. Responsibilities:Management and Maintenance of a 24x7 production operational environmentPhysical installation of server rack related infrastructure, as well as both mini & full size rack mounted servers and mobile devicesTroubleshooting of server configuration, network and Mobile device issues.Drive new deployments of customer mobile device and web solutionsPerform device and Operating System upgrades (Windows, Linux, MacOS and Mobile devices)Maintain inventory databaseCreate and maintain procedures and technical documentation.Documentation of problems and their resolution to assist in future efforts.Effectively communicate status to customers and internal staffInterface with other internal support teams, both local and remote, to support projects and meet company objectives install new hardware and devices into on-prem customer locationsAssist with the implementation of new technologies in the global data centersRemote on-boarding of new systems and devices into Partner, or customer lab environments.Promote professional management and appearance of all data center cabling and assetsUse of Salesforce & Jira ticketing systems to respond to trouble issues and to track effortsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent experience) Energetic individual who thrives in a high growth, entrepreneurial atmosphere Must be able to work in a team environment performing technical, as well as routine tasks.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand and address complex technical challenges. Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS and LinuxBasic networking, scripting skills, or previous managed service experience are a plusAbility to learn new technologies and technical concepts quickly.Detail orientedHighly organized: can precisely follow established processes, report discrepancies and update documentation accordinglyExperience using trouble ticketing and change management tools.Excellent verbal and written English, as well as soft skills, to effectively communicate with international colleagues, customers and partners.Physical adeptness to perform frequent hands-on server and misc. rack installationsAssist in packing & shipping of equipment to other sitesFlexibility to work beyond the standard business day, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays during crunch times, in support of maintenance activities, or as needed.  Occasional travel to other data centers in the US and internationally$68,200 - $96,325 a yearAdditionally, this position is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, life insurance, wellness programs, total time off, and other employee perks that may be offered by Perforce from time to time.
