Data Center Construction Project Manager

 

CEIS | Clover Leaf Solutions is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of data center construction projects, including cost estimates, scheduling, procurement, and logistical coordination. This role involves subcontractor/vendor management and coordination with customers, design, and engineering teams. The Project Manager is accountable for financial performance, compliance, and achieving project objectives, ensuring all aspects of the project adhere to operating guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams to ensure projects are designed, procured, and constructed within financial and operating guidelines. Develop and monitor job progress schedules to ensure the construction of the project aligns with the established timeline. Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with the scope of work. Issue and manage vendor and trade subcontracts, providing clear definitions of responsibilities, and review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment requests. Purchase and monitor the delivery of materials, ensuring optimum prices, quality, and conformance to specifications. Conduct weekly site visits (if logistically possible) to review progress and quality of work, and lead jobsite coordinator meetings for ongoing and new actions required. Anticipate and address safety hazards, lead safety incident review meetings, and ensure proper safety documentation is maintained. Navigate challenging conversations with project owners/clients regarding costs, quality, and schedules. Prepare reports for managing projects, such as monthly status updates, analyses, schedules, billings, and status reports for stakeholders and management. Assist in other duties relevant to achieving the team’s objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant construction management experience in the industrial arena. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. At least 3 years of profit and loss responsibility on multiple projects. Proficient with related computer software, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF, and estimating/document programs. Able to read and interpret construction documents. High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships and work with multiple personality types. Proven experience with various contracting methods (lump sum, GMP, cost-plus construction management, fee-based construction). Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and related financial reports. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
