Data Architect
Job Overview

The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in developing an overall organization data strategy that is in line with business processes. This team member will create strategies that include data model design, database development standards and management of end-to-end data architecture. This position will implement data enrichment processes to cleanse, normalize and standardize data assets enterprise wide. 1. Translates business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data warehouses and business intelligence solutions
2. Defines the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data
3. Works with data governance to establish quality standards to improve consistency, quality, accessibility, and security
4. Defines reference architecture for other team members to create and improve data systems
5. Researches new technologies, data modeling methods, and information management systems to determine which ones could benefit the organization and makes recommendations to leadership on the adoption of such technologies
6. Creates and maintains optimal data pipelines and/or datasets architecture with a current understanding of emerging technologies aligned to business needs
7. Syncs data between various systems to ensure consistency, integrity, and reliable insights gathered with multiple tools
8. Drives automation through effective metadata management by using innovative and modern tools, techniques and architectures to partially or completely automate the most-common, repeatable and tedious data preparation and integration tasks in order to minimize manual and error-prone processes and improve productivity
9. Certification Requirements - Epic Clarity data model certification expected within 1 year of hire date & Python certification using internal training tools within 2 year of hire date as well as maintaining your continued education credits

Additionally, you must possess skillsets in one of the following areas - 
Business Intelligence: 
1. Build and analyze performance dashboards for reporting, interpreting and communicating population-based data for internal and external stakeholders
2. Capable of working independently with no supervision along with strong healthcare data expertise and mastery of reporting and visualization tools
3. Oversees, establishes, and maintains timelines for reports and projects
4. Certification Requirements - Tableau or any other BI tool & Project management certification using internal training tools within 2 year of hire date as well as maintaining your continued education credits
Data Science:
1. Analyze and model structured as well as unstructured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods from statistics, machine learning, data mining, econometrics, and operations research
2. Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed, to deliver insights, such as Alteryx, R, Python, Spark, Tableau
3. Engage in deployment, and integration of predictive models and artificial intelligence into development and production environments with Data Analytics Engineers in the EMR and non-EMR environments
4. Certification Requirements - Alteryx, Python & Cloud Computing certification using internal training tools within 2 year of hire date as well as maintaining your continued education credits
Database Administration:
1. Assist in development, efficiency improvements and implementation of database policies and procedures for data security and integrity
2. Conduct systematic performance tuning (i.e., server, database and query performance tuning, database-related component tuning, and product-specific database request tuning)
3. Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions in SQL Server, including WSFC, Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, SAN replication, Microsoft SQL replication and other high availability technologies
4. Certification Requirements - Microsoft certification in Database Administration (and vendor's requirement) within 2 year of hire date as well as maintaining your continued education credits

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field Equivalent relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree 
6-8 years experience in Technical, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field Up to 1 year Clinical Healthcare 
Specialized Knowledge: 
1. Experience with Relational Databases like SQL Server and Non Relational Databases
2. Experience in Data Warehousing, Database Administration, Business Intelligence, Scripting Languages (Python, C#) and/or Machine Learning Epic Clarity Data Model Certification (<1yr)
Python Certification (<2yr)
