**Overview**
We are looking for a **Data Architect** to join our team. This position will directly report to the Senior Director Applications and Data and is responsible forproviding solution designs and implementations in collaboration with other key stakeholders such as the VP of IT Business Solutions, Director of Data Services, infrastructure architecture, and IS Security.
+ Design, recommend, implement, and oversee solutions in the following domains: data strategy, platform design, architecture, development and deployment
+ Establishes development and operating norms/patterns and best practices for the data platform
+ Oversees the onboarding of new data sources and data technologies in accordance with Gentiva’s overarching IT strategy
+ Document the current and future states as part of a multi-year roadmap and see that each project considers steps that should be taken to attain longer-term roadmap goals
+ Work with multiple vendors to implement and complete projects ensuring implementations are in line with multi-year solution roadmaps as appropriate
+ Provide support to Business Relationship Managers and end users as required
+ Provide backup support and input to the solution architect role
**About You**
+ Minimum of an associate degree in MIS or Computer Science and/or equivalent relevant work experience
+ 10+ year’s experience in architecting data solutions and implementations
+ Ability to translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses and data streams
+ Able to define data architecture framework, related security, reference data, metadata and master data
+ Able to implement supportable data quality processes
+ Understands the system development life cycle
+ Plan for and develop APIs to retrieve data as needed
+ Knowledge of Database design, SQL, T-SQL stored procedures & scripting
+ Able to obtain business requirements and map them to technical designs that achieve functional and non-functional requirements
+ Able to evaluate build vs buy scenarios, research products/tools to be employed for a given business problem, recommend the right mix of insource/outsource resources and make recommendations with clear pros & cons
+ Understand how to remediate and avoid technical debt, making sound recommendations on how to architect solutions that are supportable, maintainable and move us forward toward multi-year roadmap objectives
+ Experience with Azure desired
