The Data Analytics Intern will be a full-time (40 hours/week) opportunity for 12 weeks from May to August. As part of the internship program, students will gain additional skills to prepare them for entering the job market, including interviewing, presentations, and performance evaluation to further enhance their experience. The tasks assigned will be at a level consistent with assignments given to starting four-year college graduates. The internship will conclude with a presentation on the project and summer experience to the LCS leadership team.  In addition, the intern will obtain an overall understanding and exposure to other teams and jobs at LCS.

The Role: 

Help us continue to activate our analytics strategy by working on key business problems that deliver results and delight our residents Gain hands on experience working with our cloud analytics platform to build a variety of analytical solutions such as dashboards, models, causal inference and more.  Build technical skills using SQL, Python and Power BI while also getting the opportunity to communicate your findings to internal business partners Partner closely with other analytics roles such as data engineering, data science, data analysis and data governance

 

Experience: 

Minimum of 2 years completed towards bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, operation research, computer science, or related field Experience with R or Python and familiarity with SQL  Exposure to statistical concepts such as machine learning or Bayesian statistics

 

Knowledge & Skills:

Curiosity and drive to dig deep into disparate data sources Strong technical skills with the ability to learn new tools quickly Comfortable communicating technical results to a non-technical audience Must be highly motivated and able to work full-time during the summer of 2025
