As a DRAM and Emerging Memory Quality and Reliability Assurance (DEMQRA) Data Analytics Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical support tasks related to product quality within Micron. These tasks include creating regular technical reports, performing statistical analyses, developing data ingestion pipelines, maintaining performance monitors, creating machine learning models, and helping with a variety of general responses to requests for technical information. You will work with various engineering and manufacturing groups throughout the company to develop accurate technical information for both internal and external customers. In this role you will be responsible for enabling the right information and metrics as well as for originating and dispersing a variety of technical recommendations and utilities that are used on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Generate Ad-Hoc Reports to Internal/External Customers
Pull product traceability information with a range of varying input criteria. Possess the ability to start at any point in the process and trace either backwards or forwards through a combination of SQL queries, use of custom Micron data extractors, and other data sources. Upon request, provide custom reports to individuals for data that is not "out of the box ready" (ex: FIT rates, Characterization data, Module Error Correction rates, Risk Assessment, Statistical Analyses, etc)Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to determine the appropriate dataset and treatment required to answer questions posed by others throughout our organization. This could include producing data visualizations, machine learning models, statistical inferences, and web applications.Create and Maintain Quality Performance Monitors
Understand End-to-End product flow along with key metrics to be tracked at each step (including manufacturing/probe/test/RMA)Create and maintain backend ETL pipelines to support regular extraction of key metricsDevelop reports in Tableau and Streamlit to provide regular reporting of key metrics to internal groupsWork with product leads and external teams to identify quality issues highlighted by these reports and facilitate corrective actionCommunicate and Collaborate Findings and Best Practices
Be a champion of data. Share best practices with global teams to enable a culture of analytics and data driven decision makingShare code, knowledge and lessons learned to expand the ability of other team members to accomplish similar projectsTrain internal customers to use reports and tools that you createPresent data and analyses to both large and small groups in both formal and informal settingsSupport code and reports developed by other team members to make upgrades and fix issuesEducation & Experience Necessary for Success
MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or similar field. Job title is scalable depending on the candidate’s experience and background.Fluency in Python and SQL, and willingness to learn new languages as the role demandsFamiliarity with Tableau, JMP (or equivalent), MS Office Applications, and Linux systemsWork experience in semiconductor field and familiarity with DRAM manufacturing is a plusMust possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and ability to thrive in a team environmentAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
