Responsibilities:
Junior-level -

Examines data from various sources to provide insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems

Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for data analysis and modeling

Develops workflow processes to streamline data collection and analysis

Works with large data sets for modeling, data mining, and research purposes

Assists in creating visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements

Participates in the development and maintenance of databases and data systems

Stays current with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and machine learning

Contributes to the improvement of data quality and integrity 


Intermediate level -

Examines data from various sources to provide insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems

Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for data analysis and modeling

Develops and optimizes workflow processes for efficient data handling and analysis

Works with large data sets for modeling, data mining, and research purposes

Creates and maintains databases and data systems

Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques

Develops comprehensive reports and visual presentations to communicate findings

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems

 Stays current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science and analytics 


Senior level -

Examines data from various sources to provide insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems

Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for data modeling, mining, and research purposes

Develops and optimizes workflow processes to enhance data analysis efficiency and effectiveness

Works with large data sets to extract valuable insights and support decision-making processes

Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for data analysis processes and findings

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights

Develops and implements data quality assurance processes

Presents complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Stays current with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and machine learning

Mentors junior team members and contributes to the overall data strategy of the organization 


Subject Matter Expert/SME level -

Examines data from various sources to provide deep insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems

Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for complex data analysis and predictive modeling

Develops and optimizes workflow processes for efficient data handling and analysis

Creates and manages large data sets for modeling, data mining, and research purposes

Leads advanced analytics projects, from conception to implementation and evaluation

Provides expert guidance on data strategy, architecture, and best practices

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business operations

Mentors junior analysts and contribute to the overall data culture of the organization

Stays at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics

Presents complex findings to executive leadership and stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner 


Qualifications:
Required: 
Junior -

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

0-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Basic understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies 


Intermediate -

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

3-8 years of experience in data analysis or a related field

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques

Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format

Experience working with large and complex data sets 


Senior -

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

8-11 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on algorithm design and implementation

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques

Proven track record of working with large, complex datasets

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Experience in documenting and implementing data analysis workflows 

SME -

Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in data analysis and analytics

Proven track record of designing and implementing custom algorithms and data models

Expert-level proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL

Extensive experience with big data technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms

Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and their practical applications

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Superior communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience in government contracting or defense industry analytics preferred

Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances


Desired:
Junior –

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)

Internship or academic project experience in data analysis or related fields

Familiarity with agile development methodologies 

Intermediate -

Master's degree in a relevant field

Professional certifications in data analysis or related areas

Experience in government contracting or defense industry data analysis

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) 


Senior -

Master's degree in a relevant field

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

Familiarity with government or defense sector data analysis

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate) 


SME -

Ph.D. in a relevant field

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics)

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Publication record or speaking engagements in data science or related fields

Expertise in specific domains relevant to CACI's work (e.g., cybersecurity, intelligence analysis)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
