**Job Overview:** Aptim seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst with expertise in SQL Server, Power BI, and Microsoft Azure Synapse to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex data workflows, creating high-impact visualizations, and optimizing business processes using modern data tools. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights and support business decisions. + Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI. + Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Azure Synapse. + Create and manage data models to support analytics and reporting needs. + Perform data validation and ensure data quality and integrity. + Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical solutions. + Implement data governance and security best practices. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data analytics capabilities. + Leverage Microsoft Fabric capabilities for working with data lakes (and data engineering) when applicable to provide additional insights. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related role. + Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI. + Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling. + Experience working with Microsoft Azure Synapse. + Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools, such as ETL processes and data pipelines. + Experience with programming languages such as Python or R. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-based data integration tools. + Knowledge of machine learning or statistical analysis techniques, using tools like Python or R. + Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView). + Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello). **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
