The Data Analyst 3 is responsible for understanding business/department needs and goals and creating data-driven analysis and insight to support management decisions, and supporting the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) process by assisting with the identification and analysis of potential acquisition candidates, financial modeling, and coordination of the materials and individuals involved in selected transactions.

What you will be doing Lead large, complex analyses where information about business trends and issues are gathered from key internal business stakeholders and best practice guidance is providedDevelop and track metrics and/or dashboardsReport on findings and make recommendations; summarize analyses into clear, concise and effective presentations; deliver content as necessaryPerform data integrity audits; evaluate and propose recommendations on methods and procedures for managing dataCompose internal documentation that details processes and findingsMonitor industry statistics and follow market trendsProvide training and guidance on how to interpret and apply dataIdentify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the team; remain current on best practices and market trendsOversees data rooms and manages the distribution of information to all relevant transaction participantsMonitors industry activities to identify potential acquisition opportunitiesCompiles documentation to support assumptions used in the financial models and valuation analysesInteracts with cross-functional teams, as well as investment bankers, brokers, accountants, attorneys and other external professionals, with respect to identification, assessment, due diligence, valuation, negotiation and pre-close integration planning of acquisition candidatesConducts the preliminary assessment of potential acquisition targetsOperate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledgeMay provide guidance to other team membersContribute to the team's general knowledge base and ongoing professional developmentComply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy What will make you successful Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience as a Data AnalystExperience in M&A and/or enterprise evaluationsAdvanced in Microsoft Office applicationsHighly organized and experienced at successfully multi-taskingStrong project management skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tactExcellent critical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areasDemonstrated ability to focus on key issues, research, gather and integrate information from a variety of sources and develop sound recommendationsDemonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologiesDemonstrated ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to diverse audiencesStrong business and technology acumenUp to 5% travel time required
