The DAS and Measurement Engineer will commission, calibrate, service, fault find and repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation at Sangone Test Center.
The DAS Engineer (Instrumentation & Software) day to day duties will include:
•\tCommission, calibrate and repair onsite instrumentation, sensors, and devices.
•\tTo liaise with the Data Acquisition Manager and Test Engineer to ensure that all spares, tools, and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties.
Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution.
The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Product support in Test Facilities and auxiliary equipment, during installation and commissioning phases.
Instrument fault diagnosis and some minor repairs in:
Transducers and sensors
Signals
Signal conditioning
Acquisition Hardware
Software Tools (Calibration, Acquisition, & Data format)
The production of calibration reports using software and hardware in laboratory or test rigs properly
Calibration of sensors and actuators
Good understanding of Energy Opportunities
Use in correct way the laboratory Calibration Software and Data Acquisition platforms.
Provides innovative solutions for improvement, safety, quality, and production performance.
Guarantee in the workshop the application of the legislation, rules, policies, and provisions defined on the site (rules of procedure, compliance with permits and qualifications, application of memoranda, roadmaps)
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree in Electronics, Software or Automotive engineering
Programming skills in LabView and National Instrumentation hardware
Good experience in electronics\\calibration and instrumentation of control
Manuality in Electrical assembly (connection tools, medium voltage work, voltmeter, etc.)
Recently commissioned, calibrated, service / fault finds and repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation
Problem solving and diagnostic skills
To be highly self-motivated and could work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Expert in Calibration of sensors and actuators
Ability to work unsupervised to meet deadlines
Knowledge of the main graphic symbols used in the diagrams (electrical and mechanical)
PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft software packages
Good Knowledge in LabView , VeriStand and in Data Base interface
Availability to travel
Eligible to be security-cleared under Italian National Security Framework – NOS (art. 9, comma 4 Legge 3 Agosto 2007, n. 124; art 37 DPCM 6 Novembre 2015 n.5)
Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
Fluency in English and Italian
