Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daily Worker - Commis to join our culinary team in the vibrant culinary scene of Ubud, Indonesia. As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredientsFollow recipes and cooking instructions under the guidance of senior kitchen staffMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standardsAssist in the proper storage and labeling of food itemsHelp with basic cooking tasks and plating of dishesOperate and maintain kitchen equipment and toolsCollaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during serviceAssist in inventory management and restocking of suppliesParticipate in kitchen cleaning and sanitation proceduresSupport senior chefs in menu preparation and special culinary projects as needed

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentFood handling certification preferredBasic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniquesUnderstanding of food safety and hygiene practicesAbility to use standard kitchen equipment and toolsStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent teamwork and communication abilitiesPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 poundsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWillingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staffFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysBasic English language skillsPrevious kitchen experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
