Applicants will be required to complete a VETASSESS in AUSTRALIA. Applicants would have to be prepared to travel on a short term 6 month visa and then they can apply for their VETASSESS once they are onshore. This is really only suitable for applicants travelling alone or willing to make a head start and travel first without their family and bring their family over once they have applied for the 482 visa. In the unlikely event the applicant fails the VETASSESS they will have to return to South Africa and the contract of employment becomes null and void. Part of this assessment is a written and verbal English skills test. EXCELLENT SKILL IN BOTH WRITTEN AND VERBAL ENGLISH IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL TO THIS VACANCY. The VETAASSES will also test applicants’ capabilities as a Panelbeater, thus it is extremely important to be completely honest and truthful with regards skills, experience and knowledge as a Panelbeater when interviewed by the client and on your CV. The VETASSESS is payable by the applicant and not covered by the client. It is 2 stage assessment: 1st stage documents assessment $1,280 / 2nd stage technical interview $2,000. Plus, Registered Migration Agent fee $2,000 Applicants can pay the total amount $5,280 upfront, or $2,280 ($1,000 professional fee + $1,280) for the 1st stage, then $3,000 ($1,000 professional fee + $2,000) The processing time may vary. The visa processing times may take up to 6-8 months after the lodgement. 1st stage may take up to 9-10 weeks after the lodgement, then the 2nd stage is totally up to the assessor’s schedule. After approximately 3 to 4 years the applicant can apply for their and their family’s permanent residency The main visa applicant’s spouse/de facto partner will be granted same visa as the main visa applicant as a secondary applicant, and there will be no restriction on their study/work while they are in Australia. The Australian immigration law considers the spouse, and the de facto partners are same. However, to prove the relationship, applicants will need at least 12 months of cohabitation evidence. (i.e. Joint bank account, joint lease agreement, children’s birth certificates, etc.) A Registered Migration Agent will be allocated to successful applicants by our client who will explain and guide the applicant through the whole process. Must have a clear criminal record with a police clearance certificate.
I hope this information explains enough to get an idea of the vacancy and the immigration process for Australia.  It is rather intense but, in the end, I can promise you it is well worth the effort and cost.
