The Data Protection Office is providing advice on compliance with applicable regulation, existing data privacy processes or policies as well as developing any procedures for the local data privacy programs. It does perform assessments of data privacy impact and security risks within the organization; implements and tracks execution of risk-based analysis, privacy controls and measures, including regular monitoring of the controls in the organization.
The Data Protection Expert in the Data Protection Office of Allianz Technology S.p.A. contributes to the achievement of the goals of the department by supporting the local Data Protection Officer in the development and implementation of the Data Privacy policy of the company.
To complete his task the Data Privacy Expert does interact with all the other relevant stakeholders (e.g., among others, Software Development Teams, Infrastructure Management Teams, Information Security, Functions, Procurement, Legal, Risk Management, Compliance).
What you do
Support the Data Protection Officer in the following tasks:
Maintain an accurate and updated Data Privacy Register of all processes and procedures collecting or processing Personal Data of the entity Group acting as Data Controller Maintain an accurate and updated Service Data Privacy Register of all services and products of the entity collecting or processing Personal Data on behalf of Data Controllers in accordance with legal requirements acting as Data Processor Develop, prepare and roll out Data Privacy awareness campaigns for the local entity to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness Promote and embed within the company a culture of Privacy and Data Protection consistent with the principles of the Allianz Technology Data Privacy Policy and Allianz Privacy Standard (APS) and support senior management in communicating an appropriate tone-from-the-top Develop and provide appropriate training and communication on Data Privacy customized to the local needs Provide advice to the local management and to the local information/service/process owners on how to manage the Data Privacy risks Ensure remediation of all audit findings and privacy issues (if any) within timelines Handle Data Privacy complaints, inquiries and incidents Consult on personal data incidents, including advising on data breach notifications, resolutions, and remedial actions Participate in reporting to company management Represent the local entity in the relationship with local Data Privacy Supervisory Authority.
What you bring
5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in data privacy, risk management, internal control, or compliance. Solid understanding and expertise with complex regulatory framework and requirements, particularly in Data Protection (GDPR) and security systems (ISO). Understanding of Information technology systems and their connection in relation to data protection, collection and processing Experience with risk analysis and controls frameworks. Academic background or degree in Computer science, economics, legal, or similar disciplines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Data Privacy Certification would be a plus. Proven command of the English language - verbal and written. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey compliance and corporate governance issues effectively. Integrity, impartiality, responsibility, and confidentiality. Initiative and a sense of responsibility Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
