Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: 550 17th Ave; Seattle, WA

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Screen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditionsScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policiesEnsure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelinesMaintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedureFinalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely mannerProvide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed Comply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies

Job Requirements:

CT (ASCP Registered)-Normally a B.A./B.S. in Biological Science and meet all licensing requirements w/1-3 years of experienceSuccessful completion of an accredited Cytology programASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is requiredPrior experience working in Cytology is preferredThinPrep certification is a plusMust pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniquesAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)Ability to work independently or within a teamHighly organized and strong attention to detailStrong communication skills; both written and verbalMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

Pay Range: $38.11- $54.36

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333 hours of sick leave for each hour of work).
