We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Operations Analyst to join our team as a vital part of our organization’s cybersecurity mission. The candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets and intellectual property by conducting digital forensics, threat hunting, eDiscovery, and other essential tasks within our corporate environment. Excellent communication skills are a must as the Cyber Operations Analyst will work closely with various service providers, internal business partners, and external legal counsel, when necessary, to achieve organization goals and objectives.
A successful candidate for this position will have:
Fluency in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing)Experience performing digital forensics investigations across a variety of devices, operating systems, and cloud environmentsProficiency in threat-hunting methods, tools, and best practicesExcellent communication skills with an emphasis on the ability to communicate technical information and concepts to non-technical individualsExperience performing eDiscovery tasks utilizing industry-recognized tools and processesExceptional organization, documentation, and reporting skillsExtensive knowledge of corporate cybersecurity frameworks and tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, etc.)General understanding of local and global privacy regulationsThe ability to see projects through from their inception to their conclusionAdvanced problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to effectively assess and mitigate riskKnowledge in incident response and evidence handling techniques and proceduresFamiliarity with the MITRE attack framework and the Cyber Kill ChainProcess automation experienceWillingness to work at unconventional hours when necessaryAdvanced knowledge and experience in at least three of the following areas: Network and Internet Security; Corporate Security Architectures and Frameworks; File System Analysis; Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering; Vulnerability and Risk Assessments; Investigative Techniques; Operating SystemsResponsibilities and Tasks
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collection and preservation of digital evidence in accordance with industry best practices and chain of custody requirementsSupporting or leading investigations into security incidents, internal policy violations, or other matters requiring forensic expertisePerform complex data analysis across various media types and operating systems utilizing forensic tools and other company resourcesPrepare detailed reports for business partners relating to investigated matters including technical explanations, timelines, findings, and supporting evidenceCollaborate closely with other business units providing digital forensics support, eDiscovery assistance, and/or technical guidance when necessaryIdentifying compromised computers and potential IP loss using logs, live response, and related computer centric evidence sourcesCorrelate threat intelligent feeds with emerging vulnerabilities, malware signatures, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to identify potential threats to the organizationConduct regular hunts utilizing reported indicators of compromise (IOCs)Advise management on the effectiveness of established operating procedures and recommend modifications where appropriateProvide technical mentorship to other analysts within the Cyber Security Operations CenterStay up to date with latest IT security trends, news, and intelligenceEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics, Computer Science, Cyber Investigations, or related field. Equivalent work-related experience will also be considered.
