We are looking for a Product Security Manager to join our growing Cybersecurity team in Barcelona. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a talented security staff working across various Product and Application Security functions while contributing to our global security initiatives. You will focus on managing and mentoring the team, collaborating cross-functionally, and aligning security efforts with business objectives. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or product security, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven ability to lead teams focused on application security, product security, or security engineering.
Strong understanding of secure development practices, threat modeling, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
Experience developing team members and creating performance-driven environments that promote collaboration.
Advanced English proficiency for professional communication.
It would be great if you also had . . .
Previous experience as a Product Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, or in a similar role.
Knowledge of DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
A passion for cybersecurity and technology outside of work.
What will you be doing in this role?
Lead and manage a team of product and application security engineers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Define and align team objectives with organizational security strategies and business needs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, engineering, development, and other departments to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, gather feedback, and enable continuous improvement.
Act as a mentor, fostering career growth and creating an inclusive, high-performing team environment.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance application and product security workflows.
Develop metrics and monitor team performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Provide guidance and support during product security incidents, serving as an escalation point when necessary.
Contribute to audit, compliance, and governance activities to ensure products meet security standards and regulations.
About the Team
We are spread across the world, with team members located in North America, Europe, and Asia. We support our organization’s internal teams and customer relations activities. The manager for this role is in North America. As a security team, our focus lies in four main areas (pillars) – Security Engineering and Operations, Product Security, Security Architecture, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. This role is critical within the Product Security pillar to ensure our products and services maintain the highest security standards.
